Deep Dive Into The Blueness #HiroshiAndoMubvi
Blue (2002) Dir. Hiroshi Ando
The immense sea and the sky above. Our uniforms, our clumsy adolescent enthusiasm. If i had to choose a colour for all of these past things, i’d choose a deep blue.
It was a great to see a film from Hiroshi Ando. The films takes place in Japan, with a blue tone of things to come. Full of warm, and soft light. I immersed with the camera savors the beauty and pain of each every frame, the view is aurally — driven.
I really love how quite — tender — serene and peaceful this movie. How Kayako and Masami’s friendship is developed, their vulnerability, their adolescence love. My favorite line and scene are when Kayako ask Masami
So do you like art?
I think Kayako seems like gaze of Masami’s peculiar things, she likes art books, the foreign music, the somewhat somewhere centered around art. I can feel the tense convo of their r/s, on that scene, Kayako and Masami give me a natural acting yet genuine vivid reflections. When the film comes across, it reminds me about Kakera: A Piece of Our Life (2009) Dir. Momoko Ando
Both related to lesbian college — high school student without any sexual tense on it. Once again, the ending? Breathtaking! It is always Japanese’s style cinema never fails me.
